Yesterday visited the American cars show, came to look specifically at the camaro 2gen as I am the owner of 1980, saw the stand for your club the guys were very friendly and sociable, I told how difficult it is to restore the American car in Russia and I was advised to address here, in St. Petersburg, we have only 5 2gen and about 12 3gen cars. I hope to get support and advice here, as well as to buy a lot of parts for my camaro.

My father was born here but didn't learn English until first grade as all they spoke at home was Finnish. The town I live in is made up heavily of Finnish descendants, due to the fact that the Apostolic Lutheran Church is here. At least 1/3 of my graduating high school class was Finnish. Anyways, I wanted to join up here. About a year back I bought a 68 Camaro, clone RS/SS with a tired (too much spray) 383, Coan Racing TH400 and a 4 link. Just so you know the Camaro/ Trans-Am/ Mustang, esp Fox Bodies are what your relatives here are driving, in addition to Diesel trucks.

First i'd like to introduce myself.

My name is Alex, i'm 22 years old, and I live in Viersen, thats in Germany ( North-Rhine-Westfalia ) near to Düsseldorf.

My current car is a 1988 T/A, 5.7L TPI, 4thgen Leather Seats, Koni Yellow Shocks etc. Too much to list

In 2004 I had a Black 1988 T/A with grey interior in a perfect shape, non-ttop-version, 5.0L TBI, Edelbrock Chrome Air filter Housing.

I sold that car to a guy who wanted to do some engine+body-work and sell it to the next one. That guy is from Flensburg, so there'd be a huge possibility that the car went to Denmark, Norway, Finland or Sweden.

I'd like to see that car again, no matter if only on pics. My pics of that car are in such a bad quality

The VIN is : 1G2FW21E2JL221022

Would be great if we could find it

Some Pics of my old car:

Anyone have any luck getting a TA replacement foglight bulb? (GE 880), I found somewhere it may be a H27 bulb but that could have been wrong. Is there a European part number other than H27 used for these bulbs if they are even available here?

I havent introduced myself here yet, because I dont spend much time on here. Basically I moved last November from Florida to Finland and brought my LT1 Trans Am with me. I am on LS1Tech alot with the same handle. I posted this in the English section because even though I can speak/understand Finnish, my writing skills are no the best.

Anyways, I need some help with motor oils over here. In Florida I would go with Castrol GTX 10w30, but over here the only Castrol GTX that I found was Magnatec, which is a Synthetic (and I prefer to stick with a Conventional oil).

Any recommendations on what to use? I did some searching and found some guys running 50 weights, which seems like alot. Also where can these oils be found (Im in Vantaa right now). The TA wont be driven in the winter at all. Also is a cross-reference filter availble from anywhere (if not I have a friend who should have some).

Thanks in advance. I plan on making it out to the American car show coming up next month.

Hello from Sweden!

My name is Pär Haraldsson, 34 years old.
