I have Pontiac Firebird Formula 91 in original stock color.

RPO code list say 81U; Exterior color, primary, Bright red ( 81U ).

 

At the bottom of the RPO sticker:

BCCC  WA-L8774  U8774  82C

 

Is the original paint code 8774 which I have to looking for?

 

Ten years ago I bought color 8774/81 but it`s hue was wrong ( PPG DELTRON DG, GM ( AMERICA ) BRIGHT RED )

 

I found these paint codes for 1991 Chevy Camaros ( I have Pontiac Firebird 91 )

The color code is correct (81 - WA8774) but there are several hues available on that code.

If you for some reason can´t drive your Firebird to the paint shop where they can verify the correct hue, perhaps you could remove a mirror for example and take that with.

Take into account also that sun ages and fades the paint and if you plan on spraying some small bit it may be necessary to alter and custom the paint ingredients to get it matching the rest of the car.

The "L" means Lower and the "U" means Upper.
